International - The International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO), is pleased to inform about the publication of the report written by Mr. Alvaro Gil Robles, Commissioner for Human Rights of the European Council, as a result of his visit to France on September 2005.

This report analyzes, the respect of human rights in France and in particular on custody condition. Indeed, Mr. Alvaro Gil Robles, focus the study on the current application of the actual legislation in force and the limitations of the Justice System in France.

We recommend the pages 68-78 of the english document and the pages 72-84 of the french document about juvenile justice in France.

National, France - The French Government has announced the presentation, of a Child Protection System Reform Project, for 2006 Springterm. This decision follows the 'Call of the 100 for Child Protection Reform' of September the 5th 2005.

International - The International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO) would like to inform you about the creation of a new 'Multimedia' section within the area 'Documentation Center', which gathers Multimedia material to be documented: video, audio and images. This multimedia material can be also consulted in the section 'Search Documents', selecting 'Multimedia' as a category.

Another new section, is 'Campaigns' within the area 'Agenda', which includes the different campaigns in progress in countries from all over the world.
