IJJO Study: Situation and treatment of unaccompanied minors in Europe

Europe, Region - ‘Situation and treatment of unaccompanied minors in Europe’ is a study elaborated by the International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO) whose author is Daniel Senovilla, Phd on this subject, at the Migrations Study Institute -University of Comillas in Madrid, Spain- and the Centre Migrinter - University of Poitiers, France -CNRS.

This study shows the European answers to the increasing emigration during the last two decades of young people proceeding from different parts of the planet, whose destinations are the so called ‘first world’ countries in the hope to find a future and a better life.

International Congress: ‘Phenomena in Juvenile Delinquency: New penal forms’

International - On the 6th and 7th November 2007, the International Congress entitled "Phenomena in Juvenile Delinquency: new penal forms" took place in Seville (Spain). This event was organised by the Council of Justice and Public Administration of the Assembly of Andalucía (Spain) together with the International Juvenile Justice Observatory.

This event brought together over 350 participants coming from different countries with the aim to exchange experiences, knowledge and good intervention practices in the field of juvenile justice as well as to look for new responses and solutions that are both efficient and adaptable to the continuing changes in juvenile delinquency.

We invite you to read the conclusions that were presented during the closing ceremony . as well as, the different communications presented during the Congress. We invite you to read them and to share your opinion on the International Juvenile Justice Observatory Forum.
