Diversionary Teen Court program puts first-time offenders in front of a jury of their peers

The program has the teenagers sit in a courtroom before a jury of their peers — other teens aged between 13 and 18 — as they tell their side of the story. The jury hears the facts, asks questions and ultimately decides on the sanctions to be imposed on each defendant.
