Strategic goals 2007 - 2010
1. Improve the child protection system
2. Increase the recognition of children’s voices
3. Establish an effective global network of child helplines
4. Facilitate adequate response to all children in need of care and protection

Mission
To respond to children in need of care and protection and voice their concerns to policy and decision-makers by establishing a global network of children's helplines and provide support to individual child helplines.

CHI’s objective is to strengthen existing helpline members, offering them a platform to communicate, network and share their expertise with other child helplines and policy-makers. Further, CHI facilitates the start up of child helplines in countries that do not have a strong safety net. CHI also takes an active role in advocating on a global level for children and their rights as set down in the UN CRC, be that with children’s networks, governments, UN Bodies or the private sector.

Information
CHI reaches out to children through member child helplines. In order to provide the best possible support to our members a new strategy has been adopted for the period 2007-2010. In particular, four main goals for the organisation have been highlighted. These four strategic goals are an amalgamation of the former eight goals of the period 2003-2006.

Vision
A world where telecommunication allows children to be heard one by one and through their voices shape the world and realise their rights.
