The International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO) is a Belgian Public Utility Foundation.

The International Juvenile Justice Observatory is conceived as an inter-disciplinary system of information, communication, debates, analyses and proposals concerning different areas which affect the development of juvenile justice in the world.
|

| |
The Observatory offers different services in French, English and Spanish as well as other languages, addressed to entities, professionals and individuals from all over the world involved and interested in the subject.

Objectives of the placement:
|
| |
| |
 |
Follow-up of the agenda (seminars, courses, conferences, etc) of the EU's Spanish Presidency in light of the new Treaty of Lisbon. |
|
| |
| |
 |
To develop contacts and strategies between the IJJO and the EU's Spanish Presidency authorities. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Search for EU partners on justice affairs to establish collaboration and coordination. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Follow-up of the institutional relations between the IJJO and the UN Economic and Social Council, the Council of Europe, the European Council, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Economic and Social Committee, etc. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Professional training. |
|

Profile:
|
| |
| |
 |
Minimum study level: university degree. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Specialization: International Relations, Political Sciences, Law. |
|
| |
| |
 |
A good level of written and spoken English and French, or Spanish and English. (If you speak all of them that would be a plus). |
|
| |
| |
 |
The knowledge of other languages is a plus. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Good use of IT. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Able to work independently as well as being part of a team. |
|
| |
| |
 |
Experience and / or knowledge in the work of international organisations / NGOs and advocacy. |

| |
| |
 |
Good knowledge of European and international institutions. |

| |

Internship term:

Maximum 6 months minimum 3 months (Flexible period according to the student's availability). |
