Courses

Date

Thursday 16th of March 2006 - Monday 15th of May 2006

Description

This one-day training course from YoungMinds, the national children’s mental health charity, seeks to deepen awareness and understanding of the social and emotional factors affecting pupil learning and behaviour. It aims to extend the repertoire of teaching responses by developing insight into the meaning of behaviour and responses to learning. The course will examine such aspects of behaviour as performance fears, self-esteem, pre-occupations and family scripts. It will also look at early relationships in the context of attachment theory and its implications for teaching and learning. The day will comprise a mixture of presentations, video material and small group work.
