Agenda

Webinar: "Racial and Ethnic Disparities: Communities in Action"

Seminars

Date

Thursday 25th of May 2017

Description

States and communities both play an important role in addressing racial and ethnic disparities. However, many jurisdictions struggle with the question, “We have the data – now what?” During this session, attendees will learn more about the Center for Children’s Law and Policy (CCLP) and their work with states and localities to implement data-driven reforms that achieve measurable reductions in racial and ethnic disparities in the juvenile justice system. Attendees will hear from communities that have participated in this work, and also from jurisdictions that have attended the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform (CJJR) Reducing Racial and Ethnic Disparities Certificate Program. CJJR’s one-of-a-kind training program, delivered in partnership with CCLP, enables participants to take a deep dive in to how they can affect systems change at the local level and develop and implement a local Capstone Project reform effort.
