Description

This seminar is designed to focus on the developments in the area of anti-discrimination efforts in Europe which have led us to where we are now, as well as on the difficulties encountered and the measures adopted or proposed to remedy them. The acquis communautaire in this field will be analysed and discussed. Special reference will be made to the cases of the European Court of Justice regarding this matter as well as to relevant case law of the European Court of Human Rights. Progress, proposals for new EU legislation and challenges ahead will all be discussed in a forum designed to allow high-level experts, practitioners and other interested professionals - represented both among speakers and participants - to share their opinions, experiences and concerns.
