Juvenile Justice in the world

On 8th February, Plan International launched an in-depth study into the status of girls’ rights in international law, titled ‘Girls’ Rights are Human Rights’, which makes recommendations regarding the protection and advancing of these rights. This organisation has also published a website, the Girls’ Rights Platform, which is designed to be a wide-ranging online resource, advocating these rights and providing stakeholders with resources to help strengthen girls’ position in international law as well as highlight the particular associated challenges.

This website includes the world’s most comprehensive and searchable human rights database made up of more than 1,400 international policy documents, according to Plan International, as well as training tools for girls’ rights advocates, and a UN debate tracker to hold States to account.

By making these resources available, Plan International hopes to "increase the visibility of girls’ rights, build a wider movement in support of them, and push back against regressive trends that have stifled progress for girls."
