La violencia institucional está tan naturalizada que el 99 por ciento de quienes experimentaron algún tipo de agresión por parte de las fuerzas de seguridad no realizaron la denuncia porque “no tiene sentido” o porque carece de “importancia”. Al mismo tiempo y contra el discurso imperante, el 56 por ciento afirmó que no aprueba que se reprima la protesta social y el 67 por ciento dijo que no avala que los uniformados retiren a los vendedores ambulantes de la vía pública.

Services aimed at prevention and recovery have been limited for children in North Dakota, but behavioral health experts said they have seen a shift in thinking. That has sparked a movement toward policy-making to help children before they end up before a judge.

De acuerdo con el Fondo de Naciones Unidas para la Infancia (Unicef) en México son asesinados cuatro niños cada día, cifra que va en aumento.

“El promedio de homicidios de menores de edad se había mantenido en mil 100 o mil 200 por año hasta 2017, cuando aumentó a mil 400, que significa cuatro niños asesinados por día”, refirió la jefa de Protección de Unicef, Dora Giusti.

The overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people under youth justice supervision has further risen over the past five years, despite a decrease in overall numbers, according to new data.

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare’s (AIHW) Youth Justice in Australia 2017–18 report, released on Friday, shows the rate of Indigenous people aged 10–17 under supervision on an average day in 2017-18 (187 per 10,000) was around 17 times higher than that of non-Indigenous young people (11 per 10,000).

Most young people locked up across Australia last year had not even been sentenced.

The Australian Insitute of Health and Welfare Youth Justice In Australia 2017-18 report out on Friday reveals that 60 per cent youngsters aged 10-17 who were in detention on an average day last year were waiting to be sentenced or for the outcome of their legal matter to be resolved.
