It sounds like a good idea. Dist. Atty. Gen. Bill Gibbons wants the Memphis City Council to make it a crime to skip school. Specifically, the ordinance he proposes would create a daytime curfew. That would allow the police to arrest any minor found in a public place during school hours on a school day.
