Varios miembros de la Policía Metropolitana de Bogotá fueron suspendidos de sus cargos tras violentas acciones en contra de jóvenes que celebraban el día de la patineta. Videos que circulan en redes sociales muestran el momento en el que un grupo de jóvenes se desplazaba en patineta por las calles de Bogotá, cuando dos policías motorizados embisten a la multitud y arrollan al menos a una persona.

Four youths who were among those who wrote legislators in support of Senate Bill 6160 attended the signing ceremony with Gov. Jay Inslee on March 22, 2018. The bill ended the requirement that all youth ages 16-17 who committed certain serious crimes be sentenced to adult court and extended juvenile court jurisdiction to age 25.

Various High Courts have delivered conflicting opinions on the grant of anticipatory bail to the juveniles. Recently, Madhya Pradesh High Court has opined that a juvenile is not entitled to move an application under Section 438 of Criminal Procedure Code (hereinafter Cr.P.C.) for anticipatory bail.
